For many Americans, Memorial Day weekend affords them an extra day of opportunity to get out and travel. However, for many years, those with plug-in hybrid or electric vehicles couldn't simply get in their cars and count on being able to drive wherever they wanted, for fear that they would run out of gas or charge with no charging stations nearby.

Ford has always been known as a maker of tough, dependable cars and trucks, but few are aware that while Ford vehicles are super durable, they're also super sustainable. In fact, Ford has long been an industry leader in crafting vehicles with recycled or sustainable materials, and today, it announced that it will be advancing its sustainable technology operation to engineer plastics and foam materials for its new vehicles out of recycled carbon emissions.
