2018 Ford F-250

2018 Ford F-250

The 2018 Ford F-250 is a chiseled pickup truck that proves you mean business, whether on the job site or towing a big boat to the lake.

What's New for 2018?

The Ford F-250 had a major overhaul for 2017, so expect few changes this year. That being said, customers with cash to spend may enjoy the new Limited trim. This top-of-the-line luxury trim is perfect for those who want a limousine-style experience. The Limited boasts a 360-degree-view camera, LED headlights, panoramic sunroof, heated front and rear seats, Custom Camelback two-tone leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, ash-wood trim, and specially designed grille, to name a few features.

The infusion of aluminum last year might still feel new for those used to a pure-steel truck. The F-250 still has steel in spades, especially where it counts, but has replaced parts of the cab and sides with the same military-grade aluminum Ford is using throughout its F-Series and now on its full-sized Expedition.

Why Buy the Ford F-250?

Filling the slot between the F-150 and still larger trucks, the Ford F-250 is a powerhouse. You might not like it, though, if you live downtown or in a tightly packed suburb. The F-250 definitely has some girth. And if you're on the fence about trucks, the price tag might scare you off, especially in some of the pricier trims.

But for those who want a workhorse of a truck, the Ford F-250 is a good fit. The F-250 has a potent base engine, better fuel efficiency than the F-150, a tremendous diesel option, a chiseled look, towing and payload capacity galore, and enough available luxury and tech to make your jaw drop. Also, on the plus side, this Super Duty handles like a smaller truck thanks to some pretty slick new Ford tech.

Which F-250 is Best?

You can customize an F-series truck in dozens of different ways, so the sky's the limit. But, without a doubt, the Limited is the best. Unfortunately, the Limited can be priced at almost $100K if you check every option box. If that's too much dough for you, might we suggest the Lariat trim. Standard Lariat features include leather upholstery, 8-inch touchscreen, power-adjustable pedals, 8-inch driver information display, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

What Can the F-250 Tow or Haul?

The 2018 Ford F-250 can easily haul 3,300 pounds and tows well more than 30,000 pounds. That's enough for the largest horse trailers, campers, and recreational boats. If you need more, look at the F-350 or F-450 for unbeatable hauling and towing potential.
