This isn’t the distant future, and Ford isn’t your typical automaker. Modern technology has quickly adapted to the futuristic scenarios we’ve followed in movies over the years. Now Ford Motor Company is testing drone capabilities in new F-150 trucks, opening up a whole new era of innovative transportation.

Ford is currently supporting a Developer Challenge hosted by drone manufacturer DJI to better serve emergency personnel during critical situations.

In our last post, we shared some helpful tips to get your Ford ready for winter. We want to share a few more ways you can get ready for the snowy months.

Is Your Windshield Ready?

To prevent ice from building up on your windshield as you drive, replace your current wipers with heavier winter ones. Always keep extra washer fluid and an ice scraper in your vehicle.

Bald tires have trouble gaining traction under normal conditions. Throw in snowy and icy roads, and you've got an incredibly dangerous situation.

Is Your Heat Ready?

Obviously, it's never good for your heat to stop working in the middle of the coldest months of the year. Regularly check your coolant level, and top it off with a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water when needed. You might even want to have your coolant system flushed as recommended.

Stuart Rowley has been named Vice President of Strategy as the automaker expands its business model to become both an auto and mobility company.

Additionally, John Lawler has been promoted to Vice President and Controller of Ford Motor Company, the role Rowley previously held.

In June, Ford saw a dramatic increase in Fusion sales in Los Angeles, CA. Fusion Energi sales skyrocketed by 39%, while the Fusion Hybrid also had an impressive growth of 35% for the month.

This brought the Fusion’s overall retail sales up by 20% for the month in L.A., which is a number Ford’s competitors are sure to notice.

Ford has recently landed features in two primetime NBC shows, “Blindspot” and “The Blacklist.”

Both shows are set to showcase many of this compact SUV’s features throughout the season. A key element of the Escape will be the available SYNC® 3 driver-connectivity system.

Ford recently took home seven Vincentric Best Fleet Value awards thanks to the performance, strength, and low cost of ownership of its Transit vans.

This year, the 2017 Ford Fusion has earned the distinction of Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This designation means that the Fusion not only achieved a rating of "good" (on a scale of good, acceptable, marginal, poor) on all five crash-worthiness tests, it also includes superior frontal collision avoidance technology.

Ford has always been known as a maker of tough, dependable cars and trucks, but few are aware that while Ford vehicles are super durable, they're also super sustainable.
